The Laval Rocket awarded veteran Gabriel Bourque a one-year contract extension on Wednesday.
The 32-year-old skater, captain of the team, has signed an American League pact.
The forward, who had 103 points in 413 NHL games, had 14 goals and 17 assists in 66 games with the Rocket last season.
The next campaign will be his third in the uniform of the school club of the Montreal Canadiens. He has been the team’s captain since last February.
