A marquee that housed a restaurant in the city of Yichang, Hubei province in China, blew away due to strong gusts of wind, throwing people who tried to hold it back into the air.
The incident that happened on Sunday was filmed and several videos of the facts were shared on Chinese social networks, including the Douyin site.
We see people trying to retain the anchors of the imposing structure, but without success. At least a dozen people tried to hold the installation in place, several of them being lifted off the ground only to fall hard.
One man suffered fractured ribs, but no one suffered serious injuries.
The restaurant had to reimburse several customers due to the bad weather and the incident.

On Sunday afternoon, the Yiling District Meteorological Station, where the restaurant is located, had issued weather warnings of thunderstorms and high winds.
Extreme weather conditions uprooted large trees, washed away building materials and caused heavy flooding.
