On trial | Le Pois Penché: getaway to Paris

Walking around the deserted city center in pandemic times can be very hard on morale. But some hold on relentlessly.

Le Pois Penché is one of those restaurants in the city center that are resisting. Its “Brasserie-to-Go” menu has been made up of the classics of the cuisine of the establishment located at the intersection of boulevard De Maisonneuve and rue Drummond, since 2007.

The place will satisfy your cravings for steak and fries, salmon tartare, Niçoise salad (tasty with its homemade tuna confit), duck confit or homemade cavatelli (with porcini mushroom cream and truffle, delicious!). The homemade desserts are also a nice little decadence to treat yourself to.

All meals are served hot and ready to eat. Only downside: we would have liked to have the salad dressings on the side, to keep the crunchiness of the greens.

Le Pois Penché is open Tuesday to Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. You can order for on-site collection or by Uber Eats for delivery.
