You will have to be patient. Traffic is expected to be very difficult on the roads for this Pentecost weekend, according to forecasts from Bison Futé. For this last long weekend before the summer holidays, the forecasting organization announces high attendance in coastal areas and a “heavy traffic” on the axes connecting the “leisure places in large nearby towns”.

The busiest day will be Friday, classified red in the direction of departures and orange in the direction of returns at the national level. In the direction of departures, “traffic should in particular be very busy on the A7, along the Mediterranean Arc and on the Atlantic coast (A11, N165 and A63)”, specifies Bison Futé. The organization also foresees difficulties in Ile-de-France, “from late morning towards the various toll gates, particularly on the A6 and A10 motorways”on the ring road or the A86 and A6B motorways.

Concerning Ile-de-France residents who would like to reach Normandy, “the A13 motorway should still be closed to traffic between Paris and Vaucresson”. It is therefore advisable “to take the A14, the A15 or the N12”, according to Bison Futé. In the direction of returns, “many difficulties are expected, particularly on the routes serving the Mediterranean arc, but also on the motorways serving the northern regions (A1 and A2)”.

Saturday is classified orange in the direction of departures at the national level. Traffic will be difficult, “particularly on the routes serving the Mediterranean arc (A7 and A9) and on the Atlantic coast (A63 and N165)”. Traffic will also be heavy in Île-de-France, on the A6 and A10 motorways. The flag will, however, be green in the direction of returns. Sunday will be green in both directions, but Monday is classified orange in the return direction.
