The artistic director of the Théâtre de Quat’Sous, Olivier Kemeid, announced on Wednesday that he would leave his post in the fall of 2023.
The author and director was appointed head of the small theater on Avenue des Pins in 2016. He teamed up with France Villeneuve as general manager. Mme Villeneuve, who had worked at the Quat’Sous for 20 years, was also responsible for the administrative management of the theatre. She will also leave in the fall of 2023.
The Board of Directors took note of their decision and thanked the tandem for their contribution over the past six years.
“Their work has helped to generate a social bond between different generations and cultural communities. He and she knew how to make Quat’Sous a place for speaking out open to today’s world with all its complexity and richness,” wrote Philippe Archambault and Marie-Thérèse Fortin, respectively chairman of the board and member of turnover
Olivier Kemeid had taken over from Éric Jean, who directed the theater from 2004 to 2016. We do not yet know who will replace him.
