Oldham is vice-champion of slopestyle at the Bakuriani Worlds

Canadian Megan Oldham was crowned runner-up in slopestyle at the Freestyle Skiing World Championships in Bakuriani, Georgia on Tuesday after missing the top step of the podium by just two-tenths of a point.

The 21-year-old skier was edged out by Swiss Mathilde Gremaud, who amassed 87.95 points. The podium was completed by Norwegian Johanne Killi, at 84.71.

Oldham was the only maple leaf representative to participate in this competition.

On the men’s side, Ontario skier Max Moffatt finished just off the slopestyle podium.

The Norwegians Birk Ruud and Christian Nummedal achieved the double, with respective scores of 90.75 and 87.08 points.

The podium was completed by Switzerland’s Andri Ragettli, at 84.33, just ahead of Moffatt at 82.80.

Fellow Canadians, Evan McEachran and Noah Porter MacLennan, finished seventh and 10th in order.
