France has more than 5,500 kilometers of coastline and more than 2,600 beaches. From Dunkirk to Biarritz, from Barcarès to Nice, the sea or the ocean are never far away. If this great blue expanse that we love to contemplate seems immutable, it is nevertheless threatened. Plastic is polluting beaches and fish, corals are not in great shape, and global warming is depleting oxygen in the water.
Fortunately, initiatives and innovations are emerging to counter these harmful effects and restore hope.
