Oasis Reunion | Gallagher Brothers Fuel Speculation

(London) Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, who have been estranged since 2009, have hinted in a social media post that there could be an announcement on Tuesday regarding Oasis, fuelling speculation that the legendary Britpop band could reunite.

The two brothers posted the same 11-second clip on social media on Sunday night with a single message: “27/08/24. 8am.”

Thirty years after the album Definitely Maybe (released August 29, 1994) that launched the band, should we expect the announcement of an Oasis reformation on Tuesday morning at 3 a.m. (Eastern Time)?

Fans of the band have been fantasizing about such a reunion for years, but it has rarely seemed as likely as it does today.

Liam Gallagher, 51, dedicated the title to the Half The World Away Oasis’ Noel, 57, at his gig at the Reading Festival in west London. Liam performed several hits from Definitely Maybe.

At the end of the concert, the message posted on social media “27/08/24. 8am” was broadcast on the big screen.

This possible return of the group made headlines in Sunday TimesSunday. “Noel and Liam Gallagher appear to have settled their differences and, if the truce holds, they will play major concerts in London and Manchester’s Heaton Park in 2025,” the newspaper wrote, citing music industry sources.

THE Sunday Times even reported a rumour that Wembley Stadium would be booked for ten dates.

Liam Gallagher also wrote on X on Sunday morning that he had “never liked the word OLD.”

After years of bickering, yet another altercation in the summer of 2009 between Liam Gallagher and his brother Noel, guitarist and composer of Oasis, at the Parisian festival Rock en Seine, led to the separation of the group formed in 1991 in Manchester.

Since then, the enemy brothers have long exchanged barbs via social networks and the press, before a relative lull in recent times, giving fans hope of a reconciliation.

In an interview last week, Noel complimented Liam, praising “his tone of voice and his attitude.”

After the resounding success of Definitely MaybeOasis had reached the peak of their popularity with (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? released in 1995, which includes his hits like Wonderwall Or Don’t look back in anger.
