North Shore | Two people lose their lives in a face-to-face confrontation in Pessamit

(Quebec) A head-on collision between a car and a heavy goods vehicle left two dead on the indigenous territory of Pessamit, on the North Shore.

The collision occurred Friday, around 10:30 a.m., on Route 138 which runs along the St. Lawrence River, more precisely at kilometer 726.

“According to initial information, the vehicle, for a reason still unknown, deviated from its lane and found itself in collision with the heavy vehicle which was traveling in the opposite direction,” indicated Sergeant Nancy Fournier, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).

The two victims, in their forties, were the driver and passenger of the car.
