(Montreal) The driver of a vehicle was seriously injured following a collision with a heavy goods vehicle which took place on Route 138 near the village of Les Bergeronnes, on the North Shore, Tuesday evening.
“The auxiliary police officers from the MRC La Haute-Côte-Nord were called around 5:20 p.m. regarding a face-to-face collision that occurred between a heavy truck and a vehicle on Route 138, at kilometer 600,” indicated Béatrice Dorsainville, door -speak to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
Two people were involved in this accident. One of the drivers, the one of the car, suffered serious injuries and his life is feared, said M.me Dorsainville.
Around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening, Route 138 was closed, but a bypass was erected by the Quebec Ministry of Transport, which was on site.
A police officer specializing in collision investigations from the SQ was also on the scene to shed light on the circumstances of this event.
