Officers from the North Shore Mixed Regional Squad (ERM) carried out 11 searches related to vehicle theft on Thursday.
The operation was the result of an investigation that began in March targeting a network exporting stolen vehicles. According to the ERM, seven addresses and four vehicles were searched in Montreal.
The ERM seized more than 28 vehicles, more than $17,000 in Canadian currency and $35,000 in U.S. currency, as well as 6 cell phones, as part of the investigation.
Several investigative units and specialized resources from the Sûreté du Québec participated in this project, as well as various police forces.
