The last season of “The Voice” allowed Nolwenn Leroy to take his first steps in the famous TV hook of TF1. But unlike the coaches sitting in their red armchair, with their backs to the talents who came to try to convince them with their voice, the Breton was hidden behind the scenes. The winner of the second edition of Star Academy could save candidates who had not convinced Florent Pagny, Amel Bent, Vianney and Marc Lavoine. And the companion of Arnaud Clément notably gave a second chance to a certain Jean Palau.
This 39-year-old farmer from the Pyrénées-Orientales remembers this very emotional moment with the magazine “Nous Deux”. “I didn’t realize until the second chorus that no one had turned around. At the time I was a little stunned. I thought of my husband and my nephew who were waiting for me backstage, in video“, he explains. But from the first broadcast, Nolwenn Leroy announced that he wanted to save the cheese maker. “I didn’t know until five days after filming that I was drafted. That day Nolwenn Leroy changed my life“, says Jean Palau.
The singer then joined Florent Pagny’s team. “Any reservations and concerns I may have had about the show are gone“, indicates the farmer in the pages of “We Two”.My social media follower count skyrocketed“, he continues, specifying that he received almost only”benevolent messages“.
Despite an elimination at the gates of the semi-final, Jean Palau explains that he only gets positive things out of his passage in “The Voice”. “We are well followed after the show and the production tries to offer us as many things as possible“, he specifies. And the one who has also refused a proposal for a musical confides that Nolwenn Leroy did not go out of life after their meeting, far from it. “I am still in contact with Nolwenn Leroy whom I regularly have on the phone”, says his new protege. “She rejoices in everything that happens to me“.
