Pierre Agostini and Anne L’Huillier, two Frenchmen, won the Nobel Prize in physics alongside Hungarian Ferenc Krausz for work on the movements of electrons.

The emotion is perceptible in Anne’s voice.Oil maker after receiving the Nobel Prize in Physics alongside two other researchers. “Thank you very much, it’s just fantastic”, she was quick to say, Tuesday October 3. There are three of them having received the prize: Ferenc Krausz and Pierre Agostini, who is the fifteenth Frenchman to obtain it.

920,000 euros reward

In 1903, the first woman to obtain it was Marie Curie. Anne L’Oil maker she is the fifth Frenche to be seen award the Nobel Prize in Physics. Last year, it was the Frenchman Alain Aspect who was the winner of the prize which rewards research into quantum mechanics. They will receive the equivalent of 920,000 euros for the price.
