Thursday March 30, Emmanuel Macron traveled to the Hautes-Alpes to discuss water management in the face of drought. The head of state was welcomed by a hundred demonstrators against the pension reform.
The unions had warned: the arrival of the first official vehicles was eventful, on the sidelines of Emmanuel Macron’s trip to Savines-le-Lac (Hautes-Alpes) to talk about water management, Thursday March 30. By way of welcome, a hundred demonstrators waved banners and sang songs to demand the departure of the head of state. They are determined to keep up the pressure on pension reform.
Two individuals arrested
According to them, the President of the Republic is now trying to divert attention. “Emmanuel Macron is looking for a way out of this crisis, he is looking for other subjects. Ecological problems have also been on the table for a long time”, says a man. After several attempts to block the roads, the demonstrators were finally dispersed by the police. Among them, two individuals were arrested on Thursday morning.
