The Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ) government, by presenting its budget in Longueuil instead of presenting it at the Parliament Building in Quebec, is once again displaying its disavowal of the mayor of the capital, Bruno Marchand. It is, to say the least, a disgraceful and petty gesture which is far from the respect that a government that has the sense of the State must show. Such a casual attitude has the effect of further deteriorating the very poor relationship between the CAQ and the Marchand administration. The CAQ continues to fuel a disastrous climate for Quebec City.
