Since March 7, the trial of the murder of Podensac has been taking place at the assizes of the Gironde. A complex case that dates back to November 2016. A 28-year-old man was found dead under the Béguey bridge in Podensacthe bloody settling of accounts for drug trafficking. Four people are charged with the murder. Seven others are appearing for drug trafficking cases.
This Tuesday, March 29, took place the pleadings of the civil parties and the requisitions of the Advocate General. If he asked 8-month suspended sentences on 22-year prison sentences for the various defendants, he did not require any sentence for the ex-companion of the victim. The young woman who confessed to having shot her former companion twice, killing him, insisted throughout the trial that she had been “compelled to do so“.
The Advocate General preferred not to comment and decided to leave the assessment of the guilt of the ex-companion to the court. He invites her to wonder about “the free will of the young woman at the time of the facts.”
He retains, in spite of everything for her, criminal association charge for the organization of the robberies, but does not mention any penalty there either.
