Nine men, including a 17-year-old minor, were indicted for organized gang homicide in the investigation into the death of 10-year-old Fayed, a collateral victim of the drug war in August in Nîmes, the prosecutor announced from Marseille, Saturday November 18. All of them are already well known to the police for possession of weapons, drug trafficking, kidnapping and sequestration, and criminal conspiracy. This team also includes young Marseillais, suspected of having been called in for reinforcements for the shooting. These people were arrested between Monday and Tuesday in the Nîmes region and in the Marseille region. The investigation seems to be heading towards the Marseille track since it appears that the deal point of the Pissevin city “finds itself the subject of attacks from the (Nîmes) city of Mas de Mingue. Two days after Fayed’s death, an 18-year-old young man was killed at a deal point in Nîmes. The two investigations were linked, the prosecution also specified, suggesting that this second victim was perhaps the initial target on the evening of Fayed’s death.
