Italy and Spain in the spotlight

Freddie De Tommaso’s visit to Sisteron, the singer’s only appearance in France this year, will be one of the unmissable events of the summer of 2022. First Prize in the Plácido Domingo Competition and Verdi Prize in the Viñas Competition (Barcelona) in 2018, the young British tenor of Italian origin promises great thrills during an all-Italian recital accompanied, on the piano, by Jonathan Papp.

“Les Italiens de l’Opéra de Paris”, a company under the direction of Alessio Carbone bringing together dancers from the Paris Opera, in choreographies by Nureyev, Carlson, Forsythe, Bigonzetti… as well as in a creation by Simon Valastro. A subtle alliance of academic tradition and innovation.

Dance always at the party with El Salto, show mixing flamenco, classical Spanish and contemporary dances, by the Jesús Carmona Company awarded, in 2020, by the Ojo Crítico de Danza Prize, the Benois de la danse, and the National Dance Prize from the Spanish Ministry of Culture. With humour, poetry, and a sense of drama too, El Salto questions the relationship to masculinity in the 21st century.

the Rendez Vous

You will also appreciate the musical events placed under the sign, this year, of complicity and charm. Camille and Julie Berthollet, in perfect harmony, will offer a program combining classics and titles from their album “Series”. The revisited version of Animal Carnival de Saint-Saëns, served by Corinne and Gilles Benizio, mischievous one-night companions of the Duo Jatekok, will lead the Sisteron public, with humor and fantasy, in “A carnival of animals like no other”, full of puns and of mind!
