He announced his withdrawal after receiving death threats for several weeks for asking a student to remove her veil. A case which once again arouses the concern of teachers, three years after the assassination of Samuel Paty and six months after that of Dominique Bernard.

ENT messaging suspended

Faced with this unease, the Minister of National Education, Nicole Belloubet, announced on Friday the creation of a “mobile school force” at the start of the next school year. Experienced staff (establishment heads, psychologists, CPE) will be able to intervene within 48 hours in the event of an acute crisis. Another measure: the suspension of messaging in digital workspaces (ENT), through which teachers, parents and students communicate. It is through this means that 150 middle and high schools received threats of attack, sometimes accompanied by videos of beheadings. Messaging is suspended for several weeks, while a digital shield is deployed.
