The family continues to grow for Nicholas of Romania ! After a first baby girl born in November 2020, baptized Maria-Alexandra, the fallen prince and his wife Alina-Maria are preparing to welcome their second child. The good news was announced on December 5, 2021 via a press release. A date that was not chosen at random since the Romanian royal family commemorated the four years since the death of the last king Michael I, the grandfather of Nicolas.

In October, the couple celebrated their four-year marriage: after a first civil union in England in 2017, Nicolas from Romania and Alina-Maria got married religiously in the fall of 2019 in their residential town of Sinaia, Romania. If this will be the second child for Alina-Maria, it will be the third for Nicolas from Romania. The son of Princess Elena and Briton Robin Medforth-Mills (36) has indeed a first child born out of wedlock : a little girl named Iris Anna Cirjan, born in February 2016 from a relationship with an ex-girlfriend, Nicoleta Cirjan. The girl was not officially recognized by her father until May 2019, after a paternity test.
