Nick Sörensen: choosing life over hockey

Former Quebec Remparts winger and Anaheim Ducks second round pick Nick Sörensen will never play hockey again. After seven concussions, the last of which made him fear for his life, the Swede decided two years ago to hang up his skates for good … at the age of 26.

“I announced my retirement before the 2020-2021 season … Before that, I had been locked in my home in a room without lighting for a full year, I could not be with my family,” Sörensen says in an interview telephone with The sun.
