Few observers would have bet on the troop of Dan Campbell against the team that occupies the top of the North section of the National. The Lions (6-7) ignored the predictions and signed a fifth victory in their last six outings.

Jared Goff completed 27 of 39 passes for 330 yards and three touchdowns. Those targets for majors have been DJ Clark, Josh Reynold and Jameson Williams.

The last on this list, chosen with the 12th overall pick of the last NFL draft, was playing his first career game. The only pass he caught was 41 yards for a touchdown.

Among the Vikings (10-3), wide receiver Justin Jefferson was once again sparkling. He put his hands on 10 fly balls for 213 yards. He thus broke a team record established in 1976 by Sammy White (210) for yards obtained in the same game.

It was also the third time this season Jefferson had rushed for more than 180 yards in a duel.

The Bills take revenge

At Highmark Stadium, the Buffalo Bills avenged last month’s loss to the New York Jets by winning 20-12 in the second and final regular season meeting between the two teams this year.

On November 6, the Jets (7-6) had caused some surprise by signing a 20-17 victory against their powerful rivals in the East Division of the American.

This time, the Bills’ defense (10-3) was dominant, getting seven tackles for a loss. The attack of the winners for its part found the paying zone twice. Quarterback Josh Allen scored a middle finger with his legs, in addition to joining forces with tight end Dawson Knox.

Eagles dominance

At MetLife Stadium, the Philadelphia Eagles made short work of the New York Giants with an imposing 48-22 victory.

The team with the best record so far in the NFL has crossed the goal line six times. Jalen Hurt threw two passes for majors and scored a rushing touchdown. Ealges running back (12-1) Miles Sanders has meanwhile obtained two successes with his legs.

On the side of the Giants (7-5-1), pivot Daniel Jones threw a touchdown pass and scored a major on the ground. Visibly still hampered by a neck injury, running back Saquon Barkley was limited to 28 yards on nine carries.

In short

Even without quarterback Lamar Jackson, the Baltimore Ravens were able to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 16-14. The latter also lost the services of first-year center Kenny Pickett in the opening moments of the game at Acrisure Stadium.

At Paul Brown Stadium, the Cincinnati Bengals (9-4) earned their fifth straight win by beating the Cleveland Browns (5-8) 23-10.

The Cowboys (10-3) got hot, but found a way to beat the Houston Texans (1-11-1) 27-23 at AT&T Stadium.

At Nissan Stadium, the Jacksonville Jaguars (5-8) upset the Tennessee Titans (7-6) 36-22. Tight end Evan Engram shone with 11 catches for 162 yards and two touchdowns in victory.
