Laviska Shenault added a 41-yard long major for the Panthers (3-7), who rushed for a season-high 232 yards.

Eddy Pineiro had four field goals after missing two key kicks in a 37-34 overtime loss to the Falcons 11 days earlier.

Falcons quarterback Marcus Mariota completed 19 of 30 passes for 186 yards, but was the victim of five sacks. He threw two touchdowns and an interception.

The Falcons slipped to 4-6, leaving Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-5) atop the National Conference South Division. The Buccaneers will face the Seattle Seahawks in Munich, Germany on Sunday.

The Panthers are 2-3 since firing Matt Rhule and replacing him on an interim basis with Steve Wilks.

Foreman, who had rushed for 118 yards and three touchdowns in the last game against the Falcons, capped off a crucial offensive streak with a 12-yard run for a major. That game gave the Panthers a 19-9 lead with 1:51 to go in the third quarter.

The Falcons cut the deficit to 22-15 when Mariota joined KhaDarel Hodge in the end zone on a 25-yard pass, with 3:01 left in the game.

The Falcons got one last chance to tie, taking the ball back at their 34 line with two and a half minutes to go, but Marquis Haynes made two sacks off Mariota and the Atlanta squad committed a turnover on trial.
