Michel Rivard, Louise Forestier, André Laliberté, Monique Savoie and Mohamed Lamine Touré are among the 12 new members of the recent cohort of the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec.

Michel Jean, Walter Boudreau, Jan Rok Achard, Gaston Bellemare, Dulcinée Langfelder, Tivi Etok and Eudore Belzil complete the list of new members, unveiled on Tuesday.
Each will receive the title of Companion or Companion of the Arts and Letters of Quebec. This distinction, instituted in 2015, honors personalities from the cultural milieu who have contributed in a remarkable way to the development and reputation of the arts and letters of Quebec, in the province and abroad. Some 125 personalities wear the insignia of the Order to date. Recommendations for the appointment of new Companions and Companions are made by the Council of the Order of Arts and Letters. This year, the jury was made up of Myriam Achard, Claude Deschênes, Nadia Myre, Jack Robitaille and Louise Warren. The insignia ceremony will take place on June 6, at the Studio-Théâtre des Grands Ballets.
