This 36-year-old American is a skill development specialist. He acted as a consultant with the Toronto Maple Leafs for the past two seasons. He also worked with the New York Rangers in 2016-2017, when Jeff Gorton, current executive vice-president of hockey operations for the Canadiens, was the general manager of the Blue Shirts.

Since 2013, he has worked as a skating and skills specialist with the University of Massachusetts in the NCAA, as well as with the Chicago Steel in the USHL, American junior circuit.

In Chicago, he rubbed shoulders with Sean Farrell, a Canadian prospect who currently plays for Harvard University, as well as Owen Power, the very first choice of the last NHL Draft.

After a short anecdotal career as a player in the university ranks, Nicholas began his career as a skating specialist with the defunct Lewiston MAINEiacs, in the QMJHL.
