New health measures come into force in Haute-Saône to curb the epidemic

Faced with an incidence rate which reached 537 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants in Haute-Saône, the prefecture of the department published on Thursday the list of new measures that will come into force to try to curb the epidemic, in addition to national measures already announced by the Prime Minister.

Return of the mask outdoors

Wearing a mask will be compulsory from December 31 and until January 31 throughout the territory of the department of municipalities with more than 5,000 inhabitants and neighboring municipalities forming an urban unit. In total, 16 municipalities are concerned:

  • Vesoul, Pusey, Vaivre-et-Montoille, Noidans-les-Vesoul, Echenoz-la-Méline, Navenne, Quincey, Frotey-les-Vesoul
  • Lure, Roye
  • Luxeuil-les-Bains, Saint-Sauveur, Froideconche
  • Gray, Arc-les-Gray
  • Hericourt

A New Year under close surveillance

The prefect, Michel Vilbois has also decided to toughen the measures for the New Year’s festivities. The drinking establishments will have to close at 2:00 am, without possible exemption. Events held in multipurpose rooms or equivalent (ERP type L) must not include a dancing part, in line with the closure of nightclubs and the ban on dancing in bars and restaurants. Finally, alcohol consumption on public roads will be prohibited from December 31 at 8 a.m. to January 1 at 8 a.m.
