Negotiations in the public sector | The Common Front will take stock on Sunday

(Montreal) The Public Sector Common Front will take stock of its settlement hypothesis and the consultation of its members, Sunday afternoon, at a press conference.

Consultation assemblies of worker members of the CSQ, APTS, CSN and FTQ unions will be held from mid-January to mid-February.

The four union organizations together represent some 420,000 workers in the education and health networks.

The settlement hypothesis concluded on December 28 provides for salary increases of 17.4% over five years, with a purchasing power protection clause for the last three years of the employment contract. It also contains improvements to group insurance.

The union members of the common front went on strike for 11 days in November and December, before reaching this hypothesis of settlement with the government of Quebec.
