nearly 650,000 grants granted by the State in 2021 as part of MaPrimeRenov’

The State, via the National Housing Agency (Anah), granted in 2021 644 073 aid within the framework of MaPrimeRénov ‘, a device aimed at helping individuals in the financing of their energy renovation work, announced Anah in a press release on Wednesday. This is 4.5 times more aid than in 2020, the year MaPrimeRénov’ was launched. The National Housing Agency is therefore pleased to “exceptional results” and one “strong dynamic”with 2.06 billion euros in aid distributed. “In just two years, MaPrimeRénov’ has become the main driver of energy renovation in France”assures Anah.

Almost all of the aid concerned owner-occupiers (98%). Half of the renovated dwellings are in rural areas. Changing the heating system is the main use of the bonuses (70%), ahead of insulation (26%). Among the households assisted in their energy renovation work thanks to MaPrimeRénov’, 63% are modest and very modest. The average amount of aid paid, proportional to household income, varies between 1,000 and 3,000 euros.

In 2021, MaPrimeRénov’ was extended to all owners. Indeed, condominiums can benefit from it for a global energy renovation since July 1, 2021 and landlords since July 1. In total, nearly 22,000 homes have been renovated as part of the aid provided to condominiums. “MaPrimeRénov’ has made it possible to increase the supply of financing for the energy renovation of housing, while improving the efficiency of the work”explains the National Housing Agency.

The year 2022 should see the MaPrimeRénov system ramp up, thanks to the launch at the beginning of the year of France Rénov, “single entry point for all work paths”, explains Anah. The objective is to bring together the existing systems with a view to “clarification and harmonization”. “With France Rénov’, the Agency now manages the housing renovation policy from start to finish, from information to the distribution of aid, including support for households throughout their work journey”welcomes Anah.

The National Housing Agency also aims to “better target thermal colanders and strengthen support for the most modest”. MaPrimeRénov ‘serenity was thus launched to allow “more advantageous financing and personalized support”. This should concern 5.5 million homeowners with modest incomes. Finally, the Anah plans to tighten the MaPrimeRénov’ system only for housing built more than 15 years ago. “This development makes it possible to target more the oldest dwellings, which do not benefit from the most demanding recent standards in terms of energy efficiency.”
