Nazem Kadri donates 1 million

(London) Calgary Flames forward Nazem Kadri has donated $1 million to the London Health Sciences Foundation.

This donation will support the Ambulatory Surgical Center at London Health Sciences Center (LHSC) in Western Ontario. The center will be named in honor of Kadri.

In its second year of existence, the centre, now called Kadri Surgical Center, provides patients who have to undergo less complex operations and present less risk of complications with an alternative site to the hospital in order to undergo their surgery.

Kadri, a London native, won the Stanley Cup with the Colorado Avalanche last season before signing a new contract with the Flames on the free agent market.
