However, this Friday, June 30, 2023, passing through Buzz-TV, Benjamin Castaldi has decided to reveal other reasons related to his departure. “The year that I did, honestly, as a columnist, was complicated for me. I find it more and more difficult to express myself news and social topics because it’s not me, it’s not my thing. I can’t reduce myself to the jokes about my debt, my ex-wives, etc. We go around in circles“, he confessed. And to recognize that he did not know how to be up to the exercise as “Baba” wished: “He often winked at me about it but it wasn’t just a joke. Cyril was basically right. I didn’t deliver what I had to deliver and that posed a problem for me. And to him too, he confided. And his departure then seemed obvious to him: “I had to do it and as I’m lucky to have other projects that are a little different from my job as an animator, I told myself that I could jump ship.” Without however denying the program which allowed him to come back into the light after a long crossing of the media desert: “You should never say fountain. It’s a goodbye and not a farewell. I remain close to the TPMP family and very good friends with the other columnists… Finally, we will see who will still call me in 6 months, it will be a good test!”, he also underlined because he knows it well: leaving such a program is a “risky bet” that he is ready to take, adding with humor: “Fortunately my wife works and she can feed me”. At the start of the school year, to compensate for the absences of Matthieu Delormeau and Benjamin Castaldi, Cyril Hanouna chose to trust Evelyne Thomas, Alex Goude, Nabilla but also Ségolène Royal, who should not be a columnist but a political columnist…
