France Bleu Provence partner of Musicatreize, Vocal Ensemble and National Vocal Art Center directed by Roland Hayrabedian presents the program for the Back to School Choir.
The Return of the Choirs
Created in 2020, at the end of the first confinement in collaboration with the Department of Bouches-du-Rhône, La Rentrée des cheurs was a real breath of fresh air for the choirs, the singers and the public, then in the middle of a very dark. Each time a miracle, the Rentrée des choirs reaches the third edition, more serene, well established, more ambitious.
Alleins, Le Puy Sainte Réparade, Saint-Paul-lez-Durance, Orgon, Mollégès, Saint-Chamas, Jouques support amateur choral singing by allowing many choirs to perform from September 9th. The programs are attractive, varied, they concern all ages, all populations: classical music rubs shoulders with pop music, world music, jazz, contemporary music. Creations are emerging, as in Alleins for example, new experiences are springing up everywhere, driven by the enthusiasm of the choirmasters. Previews in the form of workshops, meetings, surprises in the street, games, are offered here and there.
A festive and joyful human fresco
For the first time this year, the Bettencourt Foundation is a sponsor of the project and thus makes it possible to amplify the adventure: in Marseilles at the end of this beautiful event, the Ensemble The elements by Joël Suhubiette, also a vocal art center, the Toulouse neighbor, and his program Sacred Mediterranean. Open Friday, Musicatreize and the orchestral ensemble Unitedberlin will perform in Marseille and then in Arles on Monday, with the addition of the new Meridiem Borealis choir made up of amateurs from the musical world, children’s choirs from Marseille and Arles, theOresteia of Xenakis, whose 100th birthday is being celebrated this year. May the jubilation that makes up the finale of this work be the symbol of the entire Back to School Choir 2022: a manifestation of life, a great human fresco, festive and joyful!
