The 54-year-old mother Found dead, her throat slit, in her car a week ago, in Longueuil, would not have been “targeted at random” by her attacker (s).
Still in search of information about this sordid murder, the Longueuil police officers deployed their mobile command post at the scene of the crime on Wednesday in the hope of gathering new information from the public.
Analysis of surveillance camera images from the area established that the murder of Manon Boisvert was committed on the evening of Sunday, January 2.

This means that the woman who had her throat slit would have remained in her car, inert, for three long days before someone finally saw her on Wednesday.
Manon Boisvert’s body was in the driver’s seat, which was tilted backwards, in his 2003 blue Toyota Echo. The victim’s vehicle was parked in front of the credit union, in the grounds of parking lot of a small shopping complex located at the corner of boulevard Roland-Therrien and chemin du Tremblay.
“At this stage of the investigation, the clues collected show us that the victim was not randomly targeted,” Longueuil police said in a press release.

No suspect has yet been apprehended for this murder. The motive for the crime remains a mystery.
