According to our police sources, the deceased was known to be a drug trafficker and had previously been linked to the Hells Angels in police investigations. He was also accused in 2019 of a violent assault against the family of an influential mafia member in Hamilton, Ontario.

With three other Quebecers, he attacked two relatives of the mafioso Cece Luppino in April 2018.

Charles-Olivier Boucher-Savard had received a four-year prison sentence.

In 2014, he was arrested with individuals considered by the police to be henchmen of the Quebec Hells Angels and found guilty of drug trafficking.

The police went to the corner of avenue des Érables and rue Sherbrooke on Wednesday around 9:50 p.m. On the spot, they found the victim. The thirty-something was lying on the ground, hit by several projectiles in the upper body.

Witnesses were met by the Montreal Police Department.

Investigators and a canine squad were dispatched to the scene.

There are no suspects in this case so far.

However, two people were arrested for possession of weapons during the police operation. Their connection to this affair remains unclear. One of them is known to the police.

Officer Véronique Comtois did not know whether these two individuals were related to the victim or to the shooter. She also did not indicate whether the event was linked to organized crime. “There is still a lot of information to be found in this file, which is still under investigation. ”

The victim was initially hospitalized and was in critical condition. It was Thursday morning that the police authorities confirmed his death. This is the 35e murder committed in Montreal this year.
