In Repentigny, the population chose former Bloc Québécois MP Nicolas Dufour, against Éric Chartré, runner-up to outgoing mayor Chantal Deschamps, in office for 24 years. When he was elected to the federal government in 2008, Nicolas Dufour was 21 years old and the youngest member of the House of Commons.

In Saint-Jérôme, where former outgoing mayor Stéphane Maher had been declared disqualified from sitting for nearly a year, citizens largely supported the candidacy of former PQ Marc Bourcier, elected with 42.7% of the votes in a three-way fight. On the Saint-Lambert side, where the outgoing mayor was also sentenced following an investigation by the Municipal Integrity Commissioner, it is the former director general of the Federation of Quebec Specialists Pascale Mongrain who was elected.

In Terrebonne, it was the former PQ member Mathieu Traversy who won the race hands down. On the Mirabel side, where the race was rather tight, Patrick Charbonneau, deputy mayor, defeated former municipal candidate David Marra-Hurtubise. In Châteauguay, outgoing municipal councilor Éric Allard was elected.

Several municipalities have also chosen the path of continuity. In Blainville, the Vrai Blainville party, which has been running for mayor for 16 years, had Liza Poulin elected. The citizens of Brossard reiterated their confidence in Doreen Assaad. On the Mascouche side, outgoing mayor Guillaume Tremblay, in office since 2013, was re-elected. In Saint-Eustache, the mayor in office since 2009, Pierre Charron, was re-elected with a large majority.
