His 16th coronation went unnoticed… At the very end of the NRJ Music Awards 2023 ceremony, which was held this Friday, November 10 in Cannes, M Pokora received the “French-speaking Tour of the Year” Award. He was in competition with Angèle, Christophe Maé, Bigflo et Oli, Juliette Armanet, Lujipeka, M, Soprano and Starmania. But the singer, definitely unbeatable, won his 16th Awards in 21 nominations, and remains, by far, the most awarded artist in history of the ceremony. Behind him, follow Ed Sheeran (11 trophies) and Bigflo and Oli (10 trophies), who have just joined the podium by outclassing Mylène Farmer and Jenifer (9 trophies each).
But Mr. Pokora is furious… On the eighteen categories in competition, only eleven were broadcast on TF1. The ceremony was much shorter than in previous years, and Nikos went on air at 12:18 a.m. De facto, seven categories had to be squeezed out, and the recipients of the latter were celebrated in a short tape lasting around fifteen seconds: among them, David Guetta, Miley Cyrus, and M. Pokora, who seems more furious than ever for not having received the exposure he would have wantedas record holder of the ceremony…

Mr. Pokora’s fans did not hesitate to give him their support, and also seem unhappy with this reward offered in total confidentiality: “A shame this postponement. What contempt for you, and for us, spectators”, “Ah well the NMAs, that’s not what it used to be” convicted two of them. This new ceremony achieved its historic low, with only 3.2 million viewers and 34% of housewives. For comparison, in 2017 for example, the show brought together more than 5.5 million fans and up to 42% of housewives…
