(Montreal) Quebec singer Trudy is in the running for the Top of the Country competition on SiriusXM satellite radio.
The singer-songwriter from Montreal is a finalist for the competition alongside Albertan Robert Adam and British Columbian Zach McFee.
Trudy, who some know as a former winner of the show Double occupationlaunched his first album, entitled Go Soloin spring 2023. She also participated in the show The Voice in France in 2015.
The competition, organized by SiriusXM and the Canadian Country Music Association, includes a scholarship of $25,000 for the winner and $10,000 for the finalists. It aims to promote new talents in Canadian music.
The three competing artists have a busy summer ahead of them: they will travel to the CMA Festival in Nashville to develop their networks and will also participate in the Lasso festival in Montreal.
The winner of the contest will be announced in September during a special broadcast on SiriusXM.
