Three suspects were arrested overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday after a police chase that followed shots fired in downtown Montreal.
First, the City of Montreal Police Department was called shortly before midnight for gunshots heard near Berri and Saint-Antoine East streets.
According to witnesses, a U-Haul van was seen leaving the scene before being located on René-Lévesque Boulevard, near Sanguinet Street.
The suspect vehicle was chased by the police who intercepted it at avenue de l’Hôtel-de-Ville, near rue de Boisbriand.

Three suspects aged 17, 19 and 20 were arrested and taken to the investigation center by the police who seized a firearm found in the vehicle.
Checks carried out at the location where the shots were fired allowed police to find shell casings on the ground, said SPVM spokesperson Jean-Pierre Brabant.

Bullet holes were also located on the facade of a building located on Berri Street, according to the Montreal police who are not reporting any victims at the moment.
Two scenes were protected while awaiting investigators and forensic identification technicians who were to shed light on this event.
