(Montreal) Three shootings that occurred over a three-hour period on the island of Montreal resulted in one death and three serious injuries.

According to information transmitted at the end of the night, Thursday, by the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), the medical authorities fear for the lives of the three injured.
In only one of the three events were suspects arrested.
The event that claimed the life of a man occurred around 2 a.m. in Montreal West.
According to what the SPVM has learned, a car was the target of several shots from an undetermined location while traveling at the intersection of Ronald and Avon streets.
When they arrived at the scene, the police found the driver of the car dead. His passenger was seriously injured while another person on board had already fled.
Soon after, suspects were arrested in the area.
About three hours earlier, around 11 p.m. Wednesday, a double attempted murder of two young men, ages 18 and 20, occurred in the Pointe-Saint-Charles neighborhood in southwest Montreal.
According to the latest news obtained by the SPVM, no arrests had been made in connection with these assaults which occurred at the intersection of rue Dick-Irvin and avenue Ash, very close to Le Ber park.
The police arrived at the scene and found several casings of firearm projectiles on the ground. It seems that a conflict involving a few people erupted shortly before the shooting which occurred close to a childcare center and some residential buildings.
And around 12:15 a.m., an occupant of a moving car opened fire in the direction of a building housing a licensed establishment at the intersection of avenue Dollard and rue de Saguenay, in the borough of LaSalle. .
The police report no injuries or suspects in this event, but at least one firearm projectile impact was noted on the building.
Security perimeters were erected at the scene of the three shootings. SPVM investigators undertook to examine it in the company of members of the canine unit and forensic identification technicians.
