(Montreal) Searches related to a network exporting stolen vehicles were carried out Thursday morning in the Montreal metropolitan area by the Investigation Partnership Service (SPE) of the Sûreté du Québec.
The searches took place in the municipalities of Pointe-Claire and Saint-Laurent, in the west of the island of Montreal, specifies the Sûreté du Québec.
The operation was carried out with the aim of seizing and recovering stolen vehicles. A review of the searches, which were completed in the morning, was still underway at the time of writing.
The Sûreté du Québec reminds that the SPE is a team bringing together the Royal Gendarmerie of Canada, the Sûreté du Québec and the Longueuil Agglomeration Police Service and is dedicated to investigations into overseas export networks of stolen vehicles.
