Montreal Metro | Smoke release causes service interruptions

(Montreal) Two service interruptions of the Montreal metro were decreed Tuesday morning by the Société de transport de Montréal (STM).

A release of smoke caused the paralysis of metro convoys on the orange line, between Berri-UQAM and Henri-Bourassa stations, as well as on the blue line, between Snowdon and Saint-Michel stations.

The latest news was that the STM planned to resume service around 9:05 a.m. The cause and origin of the smoke release have not been specified.

In total, 22 Montreal metro stations were affected by these service interruptions.
