At around 6:00 a.m., officers from the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) were called to an apartment not far from the corner of Sussex and Tupper streets, in the Westmount district, after receiving a call from a neighbor.
At the scene, they found the victim with an upper body injury. The 29-year-old man was transported to a hospital where he remained in critical condition.
Another man, 54, was arrested by the police and brought to the station for questioning, in order to clarify the circumstances surrounding the event.
“We don’t know what would have caused the injury, is it less blows or falling? “, said a spokesperson for the SPVM, Mariane Allaire Morin.
