About fifty free activities will be offered all over the city in various museums, theatres, cafés, as well as in certain galleries. Part of the programming will also take place online. Last year, the Nuit blanche was held entirely virtually due to the pandemic.

Insomniacs can, for example, discover the exhibition purple hour of Nicolas Party at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, while benefiting from a special rate. The McCord and Pointe-à-Callière museums will also welcome night visitors.

Music lovers will prefer to stop at the Center Phi to see an exhibition on hip-hop in Quebec, or at the Maison symphonique, where an “electro-organic” concert will be given, bringing together organist Jean-Willy Kunz. and DJ Pascale Projet.

Other activities include an evening of poetry and humorous literary debates, with, among others, Jean-Paul Daoust and David Goudreault, the screening of short films, not to mention extended hours of skating on the Montreal outdoor site in light.

Online and on the radio

Want to stay warm? The performance show Screen-Mirroringchoreographed by Gabriela Gullco and Daniela Carmona, as well as performances by DJs are part of the virtual component of the event.

The Nuit blanche is also celebrated on the radio. ICI Première will present special editions of JS Tendernesswith Jean-Sébastien Girard, and Until the end, with Nicolas Ouellet. The first will be devoted to “the best erotic-romantic songs from the repertoire of the 70s and 80s”, while the second will give pride of place to musical talent. Great discoveries are to be expected.

Montréal en lumière will also offer a series of activities for families from 1er to March 5 for spring break.

Montréal en lumière is held from February 17 to March 5.
