Montreal in light | Ode to Montreal winter

For his 24e edition, which will take place from February 16 to March 5, 2023, the Montréal en lumière festival assumes more than ever its warm Nordicity by celebrating all the pleasures of the winter season.

It’s themed The best of Montreal in winter! what this new presentation of the event will take place, which has multiple components: gastronomic, of course, but also family, artistic and festive, with in particular the return of the Sentier de patin, to spin on the ice on the Place des Festivals, the light installations that illuminate the Quartier des Spectacles, the Big Wheel and the popular Nuit Blanche, which will celebrate its 20e anniversary.

To feed visitors, a whole program will be deployed on the theme Montreal receives! This edition continues the event’s tradition of hospitality, and some forty restaurants and establishments will host chefs, winegrowers and producers from here and elsewhere.

In Old Montreal, the Hotel William Gray participates in the Bed & Breakfast package.

Proven return formulas

With the mission of democratizing the Quebec terroir, the Quartier Gourmand is always popular with its conferences, tastings, demonstrations and culinary workshops. This year it has a new home: the large indoor public space at Place des Arts. During the weekends of February 18-19 and then February 25-26, more than twenty free activities will be on the menu.

The Bed & Gastronomy Packages are also back. The successful formula allows you to combine an overnight stay in a hotel in the metropolis and a gastronomic experience in the restaurant associated with the hotel establishment, for example Fairmont Le Reine Elizabeth and the Rosélys or Hôtel William Gray and the Maggie Oakes. A spring break family package is making its first appearance in the program at the Monville and DoubleTree by Hilton Montreal hotels.
