Ensemble Montreal announced that Serge Sasseville, city councilor downtown, had turned his back on political training.

“Serge Sasseville has decided to leave the Ensemble Montreal family and I respect his decision,” said Mr. Salem, the leader of the opposition on the city council, in a press release. I wish him good luck for the future”.

Mr. Sasseville is a former executive of Quebecor, where he held the position of Senior Vice-President, Corporate Affairs. Last spring, he claimed that it was Denis Coderre who convinced him to go into politics.

The chosen one did not immediately respond to the interview request of The Press.
