(Montreal) A 27-year-old man died in a road accident on Sunday morning in the Plateau-Mont-Royal borough, in Montreal.
The event occurred a little before 4:30 a.m. on Parc Avenue, near Duluth Avenue West.
According to initial information, a vehicle traveling on Avenue du Parc collided with a car in front of it.
“The vehicle then hit a lamppost before ending its journey backwards,” said officer Sabrina Gauthier, of the City of Montreal Police Department.
The 27-year-old man in the first vehicle died from his injuries. The man who was in the hit car did not suffer any injuries and will be interviewed by police.
The SPVM indicates that a large security perimeter has been erected in the area, time to allow investigators from the collision investigation section to analyze the scene and shed light on the circumstances of this event.
Avenue du Parc is therefore closed to traffic, in both directions, between avenue des Pins and avenue du Mont-Royal Ouest.
