After Stockholm in 2021, Montpellier is hosting the world figure skating championships. The competition will take place from March 21 to 27, 2022 at the South of France Arena. Carole Delga, president of the Occitanie Region, Michaël Delafosse, mayor of Montpellier and president of Montpellier-Méditerranée Métropole, and Nathalie Pechalat, president of the French Ice Sports Federation, must detail the progress of this sports competition on January 5, 2022 during a press point.
These post-Beijing Olympics championships will bring together four categories: ladies, gentlemen, couples and dance.
The mascot of these worlds was created by a student at ESMA, the Higher School of Artistic Trades, based in Montpellier.
