The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) arrested a suspect on Monday in connection with the murder of a man which occurred last Thursday in Montérégie.
On August 11, shortly after 9:30 p.m., Danny Durand Laporte, 31, was found dead in Saint-Bernard-de-Michaudville. The investigation revealed that it was a murder, said the SQ in a press release.
Thus, the Crimes Against Persons Investigation Service was able to arrest a suspect in connection with the death of Mr. Durand Laporte.
The suspect will appear [mardi] at the Saint-Hyacinthe courthouse. The charge(s) in connection with this event remain at the discretion of the Director of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions according to the study of the file.
