(Montreal) Two people were injured and are considered in critical condition after construction machinery hit and knocked down the panoramic gondola in which they were riding in the village of Mont-Tremblant, in the Laurentians.
Emergency services were called to the scene shortly after 11:30 a.m. Sunday, confirmed Sûreté du Québec spokesperson Ève Brochu.
“According to preliminary information, following the impact, the gondola in which the two people would have given way,” she explains.
Investigators were to go there in the afternoon to shed light on the circumstances surrounding this event.
Last December, the fall of a gondola occurred, this time at Mont Sainte-Anne, in the Quebec region. However, the event did not cause any injuries since the cabin was unoccupied.
