(Mont-Tremblant) One person has died and another is in critical condition after an accident involving a panoramic gondola and construction machinery occurred on Sunday in the village of Mont-Tremblant.
Emergency services received a call inviting them to intervene shortly after 11:30 a.m., said Camille Lavoie, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec.
“According to preliminary information, following an impact, the gondola in which two people were seated would have given way,” she confirms.
Teams of investigators are on site to shed light on the circumstances surrounding this event.
This is the second event of this nature in the space of seven months. In December, an empty gondola crashed at Mont-Saint-Anne. There had been no injuries.
