AS Monaco player Mohamed Camara, who had hidden the anti-homophobia logo plastered on his jersey during the last day of Ligue 1, was suspended for four matches, the AS Monaco committee announced on Thursday, May 30. discipline of the Professional Football League (LFP).

The Malian player could receive up to 10 matches of suspension, according to the disciplinary scale of the French Football Federation. He will be able to play his two matches with the Mali national team at the beginning of June, but will be suspended for the first four matches of Ligue 1 next season, which will begin on August 16.

“We take note of the League’s decision, which we respect, and we will not appeal this decision”, reacted to AFP Thiago Scuro, the general director of Monaco, who dissociated himself from his player’s gesture. The ASM, which had apologized to the LFP and raised possible internal sanctions, did not assist Camara before the commission.
